2G single memory demand is increasing with Vista’s popularization

Windows Vista, the next generation
operation system of Microsoft is finally launched on end of Jan, 2007. Users
are excited for if florid interface, people-oriented operation and higher
security. However, each time when the operating system is upgraded, the
mainstream hardware has to encounter a big challenge and high pressure. And
this time, it’s memory’s turn!

Windows Vista—next generation memory killer

Microsoft has publicized configuration
requirements for Vista operating system. On
that list, 512M is the minimum system memory capacity that Vista
requires. However, 512M only ensures Vista can be installed and basically run,
if users want to experience Vista fluently, a
bigger capacity memory is a must. On 22nd, Feb, 2007,  IBM computer expert David Short declares,
users need to equip 4G memory so that Vista
can performances the best. Not long before, the Vista
demonstration computer of Microsoft was also equipped 4GB memory. Thus it can
be seen in near future, 4GB memory will be the standard configuration
specification for the users who are seeking for high performance. Due to slot
numbers limitation on main board, demand of single 2GB memory will be
increasing in future.
